Week One- In a Nutshell

Tuesday brought lots of new faces in G21 as we kicked off the 2017-2018 school year!

This week we spent a lot of time community building and trying to get back into the groove of back to school.

We explored some great math number sense games watched CNN student news to see what is going on in the world and how we are going to analyze it on a daily basis, created "About Me" collages to get to know one another, and did some reading leveling so we can get started on content during week two!

We also kicked off the year with exploring our learning styles and analyzing the type of student we perceive ourselves to be. Because we are such a close-knit group in Oasis and the lessons are more tailored to each student, it's imperative that both the students and I have a clear understanding of their learning style so we can help them use their strengths and improve upon their other areas.
